Why Movement Anatomy™pilates-teacher-training-movement-anatomy-series

There is a Big difference between:

– giving clients a set series of exercises to do ad nauseam

– intentionally selecting and sequencing exercises appropriate for the client’s goals while taking into account their physical issues, as well as teaching the client how to do those exercises correctly.

To do the latter effectively, you must understand the human body, its potential, its limitations and what it means to a client when you teach him/her an exercise, a series of movements or a one-hour workout class.

Designed for personal trainers, group exercise instructors, yoga teachers, Pilates teachers and fitness professionals of any movement disciplines, the BTA Movement Anatomy™ is a series of 3 x 2-day modules conceived to BRIDGE THE GAP between movement and science.

If you are a fitness professional:

Progress from merely instructing exercises to truly teaching bodies to Make a Difference.

If you are a practitioner:

Progress from blindly exercising to mindful movement because “Movement is Life. Life is Movement” and when you move well, you live well.

Jerry Teo

Jerry studied Pilates with Pilates Master Teacher and Elder Ron Fletcher (1921-2011) since 2004. Ron’s emphasis on excellence influenced him to constantly explore ways to develop his teaching skills. Jerry’s greatest strength is his ability to adapt and adjust teaching methods to different learning personalities so as to make learning simple yet effective. He continues to impart this knowledge to Pilates Teacher Trainees through the BTA Pilates Matwork teacher training program and the BTA Comprehensive Pilates teacher training program so that they can in turn bring more impactful change to more people.

In his last 12 years of teaching Pilates, Jerry has frequently taught people with back, neck and knee problems. He especially loved and taught many runners, golfers, tennis players, skiers, yogis and dancers to improve their sports performance using Pilates. Having spent many years promoting and introducing Pilates at workplace and schools, Jerry strongly believes everyone can realise their movement potential with Pilates.
